Polish theatre and film actress. She graduated from the Ludwik Solski State Theatre School in Cracow (Acting Faculty). She made her debut in the play Ich czworo directed by Krzysztof Orzechowski at the Stary Theatre in Cracow.

The actress has worked with the best Polish artists, including Andrzej Wajda, Grzegorz Jarzyna, Mariusz Treliński, Kuba Morgernstern and Agnieszka Smiczyńska. In 1999, she appeared for the first time in a production by Krzysztof Warlikowski, that is as Ophelia in Hamlet.

Directors emphasise her extraordinary transformational skills, great diligence, courage, expressive personality and her readiness for taking artistic risks.

In 2008, Magdalena Cielecka won a prestigious Herald Angel Award at the Edinburgh International Festival. She was recognised for her roles in the plays 4.48 Psychosis and The Dybbuk. Currently, she is an actress at the Nowy Theatre in Warsaw.
