Operomanija: Have a good day!
November 29 @ 19:00
False smiles, automatism overflowing the atmosphere of the supermarket. Mechanically repetitive behavior: “Good morning!”, “Thank you!”, “Have a good day!”. Opera Have a good day! for 10 cashiers, the sounds of a supermarket and a piano is a story about the inner life of cashiers in a shopping mall, in which the characters of various salesmen embody universal archetypes present in social life. The creators avoid any moral suggestions, expressing a critical attitude towards capitalism through humor, irony, and poetry. In 2013, the International Theater Institute selected Have a good day! for presentation in the finals of the Music Theatre NOW competition, where the opera won the Globe Teana – Theatre Observation award. The production has been presented at many international festivals in the USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Ukraine, Portugal or the Netherlands. Program:
