Krzysztof Penderecki: The Seven Gates of Jerusalem

Initially only instrumental, but in the course of composition it took on a vocal and instrumental form. Written for the 3000th anniversary of the Holy City, Krzysztof Penderecki’s Symphony No. 7 “Seven Gates of Jerusalem” is a symbol of the unity of three religions and the hope for a conflict-free world.
