Tomasz Konieczny again at the Eufonie Festival!
One of the most respected and recognizable Polish opera singers will perform already on 21 November in the Archcathedral Basilica of St John the Baptist in Warsaw. The recital will begin with Blessed Raspberry Songs, Op. 43 by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki to the words of the literary patron of the year 2021, Cyprian Norwid. We will also hear three pieces by Modest Mussorgsky, an outstanding composer, creator of a national school of Russian music.
Tomasz Konieczny will also perform pieces from his album Between Death & Love, released by the National Centre for Culture and the Dal Segno Institute Association in March this year. The concert will end with the most famous songs by Ukrainian composers.
Tomasz Konieczny will be accompanied by his regular recital partner, Lech Napierała, an acclaimed pianist, graduate of the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna.
It will already be the second time that the audience of the Eufonie Festival will be able to listen to Tomasz Konieczny performing live. In 2019, he took part in the finale of the second edition of the Festival. Together with Iwona Hossa, Anna Radziejewska, Rafał Bartmiński, the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir and the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, he performed Krzysztof Penderecki’s moving Polish Requiem.
