Dialogue with Jewish Cantors / Curran
For the first time in the history of the Eufonie Festival: we invite you to a sound and spatial installation!
Its author was inspired by the singing of Jewish cantors, whose oratorio songs accompany rabbis during religious practices and mourners during funeral ceremonies.
We have invited one of the most outstanding representatives of sound art, a field of art in which sound is the main means of artistic expression, to participate in a dialogue with this rich oeuvre. Alvin Curran, composer, performer and improviser, will present his installation.
The event is co-organized by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the National Centre for Culture.
The vernissage with the participation of the author will take place on 19 November at 10:00 p.m.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from 20 to 27 November.
